Friday 10th April Good Friday we left home in clouds and drizzle and made our way to Rhayadar in Mid Wales to join a rally with the caravan club Gwent Centre at Grigin Farm the official RSBP Red Kite feeding station. The Red Kites are fed at this farm every day of the year at 3pm.

We arrived on site at around 12clock my cousin Drena and Hubby Geoff arrived some 25mins after us. There were 49 units on site (Caravans &Motor Homes)
After we had set our vans up and had a cup of tea the weather turned out fine and the sun came out so we went off for a ride up to the Elan Valley reservoirs what a beautiful site.
Saturday 11th April 2009
Woke up to a beautiful morning we had a lovely cooked full English on the BBQ.
We then decided to have a day out at Aberystwyth
Well we left Aberystwyth and followed the Sat Nav back to the site what a hair raising experience it took us over the Rhayader mountain pass even though it was VERY NARROW in places the scenery was exceptional good job we had the little Panda with us.
Sunday 12th April 09
Another glorious morning and a full English cooked on the BBQ
We had a tour of LLandrindod Wells and the lake. Then back to the site for coffee and a snack before going to the hides for the red kite feeding. This was a spectacular site the Red Kites and buzzards all flying in for the food
Some of the mature Red Kites have a wing span of around 6ft.
Monday 13th April 09
Another beautiful day but alas time to pack up and head for home we left site at around 12 oclock and arrived home around 1 20pm content with a lovely relaxed and enjoyable long weekend away.
