Yorkshire Dales / York / and LLandovery 29th July to 9th Aug 2008

Tuesday 29th July left home for a holiday up North so we made our way to Buxton in the Yorkshire Dales. We had a good trip up weather not to bad and made good time to arrive on our site just outside Buxton for the next 3 nights it was a caravan club cl and it was on a livery farm we were overlooking the Manage  ring and there were some beautiful horses exercising there to keep us entertained.

Wednesday 30th July we went to Bugsworth Basin to meet up with our friends Jane & Jona who live on their narrow boat. Bernard had made them 3 radiator covers so he fitted them and we caught up on all the news  then made our way back to the motorhome.

Thursday 31st July we had a day out in Bakewell a nice town plenty of shops and things to see we even had a bag of chips and sat on the seat by the shops and ate them.

No photos of the Dales ( I accidentally lost them ) I don't usually do things like that until I have saved them to my computer Oh well nowt I can do about it.

Friday 1st August we left the Dales and made our way to York  we arrived  at the Caravan Club site Rowntree park at about 12.15 we had a good pitch and if we had good weather we would have had sun all day but it wasn't to be sun some mornings or afternoons but not all day.

All the  photos were taken  between Fri 1st Aug and Wed 6th Aug the architecture around York was amazing

These are of  Cliffords Tower

Thursday 7th August  we left York and made our way back to a site near LLandovery called Cwmcattan where we were to meet up for a motor home photography meet which I was looking forward to very much. It took us 5 hours and 230 miles to cross the country.

Friday was quite nice no rain but not sunny but we managed a BBQ.

Two other motor homes turned up for the meet later in the day.

Saturday morning arrived and so did the torrential rail

It was bad enough for us to pack up and make our way home disappointed but hey who can control the weather may be there will be another photography meet again some time.
