Speech House Forest of Dean Gloucester

Friday 13th June

Left home at 11 15am for the forest of dean for a weekend rally with the Gloucester centre of the caravan club. The weather was excellent and there was a good turnout on the rally field

Drena and Geoff arrived at 5.30pm we had a very nice BBQ and then went for a walk in the arboretum and returned to the motor home for a few drinks.

Saturday  morning Bernard cooked a lovely full English on the BBQ

After we had a very long walk through the forest and to the speech house lake and back to the caravans.

The  Lamar walkers apparently you can walk these lamas supervised by the owners following behind on the horse and cart. All the walkers are volunteers This walk took us about 2 hours

Saturday afternoon we went for a wander  and look around the shops in Cinderford.

In the evening we had another lovely BBQ and a few bevvies

This morning (sunday) after breakfast we had another quick walk in the forest  then returned and packed up the motor home and made our way back home we arrived about 1.30pm

Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 08

Friday we went away for the weekend in the motor home to the Duke of York P H at Malvern  the same site as we went to for May day see  2nd to 5th May post  This was the place we needed a Massy Ferguson to tow us off as it was so boggy.

Any way this weekend was much different as the weather was superb

We left home at 11.40am and arrived on site at 12 55. We had a relaxing afternoon.  Drena & Geoff arrived about 5.30.  We had a lovely BBQ and a few drinks and caught up with all the news.

Saturday we went into Ledbury for a look around the shops and saw this in the High Street the local pet shop had him outside he was 3 foot long and expected to grow to 5 foot.

Saturday afternoon and evening was very relaxing and we had a nice evening meal.

Sunday morning we left the site a 11.45 and arrived home at 1.15pm.
