We left home at 10am for our holiday at a Caravan Club Site Gwern y Bwlch situated on the edge on the Snowdonia National Park. We arrived on site at 12.30. the weather was pretty good can’t say brilliant but at least it was fine.
We set up our motorhome had a bit of lunch then went off to explore the surrounding area.
We went off around the dog walk which was a round trip through woods with a stream and a natural pond and a bird hide. it was brilliant.
There was fish frogs tadpoles and even newts in the Pond

It was market day in Machynlleth so off we went it was a big market through the main streets but as soon as we got there the heavens opened we had to abandon plans and head back to the car. We had a ride around the coast but it was still raining quite heavy so we decided to go back to the site and sit and watch the birds.

All to soon it was time to pack up and head for home but not before one last trip into Machynlleth as we ordered a spring lamb form the local butchers it was cut and packed ready for us.
So back to the site and hitch the Panda up to the motorhome for the trip home.
Enough time to wash the clothes and pack the van up again for a trip to Tenby on Monday morning for 5 days.

Oh Maureen, those wildlife photos are wonderful. I enjoyed them so much I've looked at them again and again.
Now to Barmouth!!!! My favourite place in the whole of Wales. I just love the bridge, the water, the mountains and the harbour. We are off to Barmouth in September and I cannot wait. If I had to leave Cornwall (and I wouldn't really want to) I'd have to go to Barmouth!!
Pity the weather wasn't fab this time......there's always another trip.
Looking forward to your Tenby pics now - we were there last September.
Off to South Devon (Stoke Gabriel) this weekend. Pics on my blog next week!
